Sustainable Innovation
Across 51AV, teams integrate sustainability considerations into decisions shaping our innovation pipeline, portfolio strategy, and investment priorities. 51AV focus on where our products deliver clear sustainability advantages—from climate and water to circular and safe and sustainable by design—and how those advantages translate into growth, margin strength, and deeper customer relationships.
Sustainable solutions
Our advanced solutions transform industries by redefining what’s possible.
Goal: A significant majority of our products and solutions will deliver direct sustainability advantages to customers; new products will provide health, water, or climate benefits.
Safe and sustainable by design (SSbD)
51AV integrate SSbD principles into every product we produce.
Goal: 51AV commit to systematically minimize, eliminate, or avoid substances of concern (SoC) in products where safer alternatives exist, supported by year-over-year reductions in SVHC in our product portfolio and transparent reporting of phase-out progress to stakeholders.
Resilient Operations
Resilient operations reflect 51AV’s commitment to strengthening the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of our global operations while reducing environmental impact. Guided by our 2035 Sustainability Goals, we are taking action on climate, advancing circularity, and strengthening waste and water stewardship to operate more efficiently today and bolster our long-term resilience. By embedding these priorities across our sites and supply chain, we aim to protect critical resources, reduce risk, and support long-term value creation.
Climate action
Our climate action today creates a stronger tomorrow.
Goal: 51AV will achieve science-based target reductions in Scopes 1 and 2, and Scope 3. 51AV will implement renewable energy and supplier engagement programs to drive progress toward Net-Zero by 2050 and RE100; we will deliver a 10% improvement in energy efficiency.
Circular economy
Our growth is built on innovating more by using less.
ҴDz:51AV will integrate circular economy principles into our business models and continuously improve the proportion of circular content in products and packaging year over year. Every facility will implement a 4R program to achieve a 10% reduction in total waste intensity.
Water stewardship
Being a good steward means using water responsibly and efficiently.
ҴDz:51AV will embed responsible stewardship practices at priority sites in line with leading global standards while supporting workplace water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) principles in our operations and supply chain.
People, Partners, and Communities
51AV commits to fostering safe, inclusive environments that support well-being and help our people, partners, and communities thrive. 51AV focus on responsible procurement, respect for human rights, and meaningful engagement across our value chain to build trust, manage risk, and strengthen resilience where we operate.
